Data deletion
You can ask at any time for the deletion of the data JAWEBNI holds about you. This page explains how, whether you are a Seller (a shop using JAWEBNI) or a customer who wrote to a shop.
If you are a Seller
Option 1 — from the app
- Open JAWEBNI → Settings → Account → Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your page is disconnected immediately, the Meta access token is deleted immediately, and your conversations, orders and catalogue are erased within 30 days.
- To delete a single conversation: open it → menu → Delete conversation.
Removing only part of it
- Connected shop: Assistant → Info → your shop → Disconnect. The shop's keys or tokens are deleted; the products already imported stay until you delete them or close the account.
- Past conversations: untick "Learn from my past conversations". No further reading is done. To erase the rules and examples already learned, write to us (option 2).
- Shopify shop: uninstalling the JAWEBNI app in Shopify sends a deletion request, which is handled automatically.
Option 2 — by e-mail
Write to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request", from your account's e-mail address, naming your shop. We confirm the deletion by e-mail within 30 days.
Option 3 — from Facebook
- Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → JAWEBNI → Remove.
- Meta then sends us a deletion request and we erase the data linked to your page following the same procedure. You can ask [email protected] for a confirmation reference.
If you are a customer of a shop
- Ask the shop directly in the conversation, or write to us at [email protected] giving the shop's name and the phone number or name used in the conversation, so that we can find it.
- We delete the content of the conversation and the associated order data within 30 days, unless the shop has to keep an order that is being delivered or an invoice for a legal obligation.
What is deleted
- Messages, photos and voice notes received by the connected page, and JAWEBNI's replies.
- Orders recorded in the conversation (name, phone, address, products).
- Page, Instagram account and conversation identifiers provided by Meta, and the access token.
- The Seller's catalogue, settings, policy and style profile, the results of the automatic analysis, and the keys or tokens of the connected shop.
Billing data is kept only for as long as Tunisian accounting law requires, then deleted. Technical backups are overwritten within a further 30 days at most.
Legal basis
This right to deletion comes from Tunisian Organic Law no. 2004-63 of 27 July 2004 on the protection of personal data. In case of disagreement, you may refer the matter to the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (INPDP). JAWEBNI also complies with the Meta Platform data deletion requirements for apps connected to Facebook pages and Instagram accounts.
