Create the key (2 minutes)
- In the PrestaShop back office: Advanced Parameters › Webservice.
- Set “Enable PrestaShop's webservice” to Yes, then Save.
- Click Add new webservice key, then Generate (32 characters). Description: JAWEBNI. Status: Enabled.
- Under “Permissions”, tick GET (View) only for: products, combinations, product_options, product_option_values, stock_availables, specific_prices, languages, categories, configurations, tax_rules, taxes, manufacturers. Never tick POST, PUT or DELETE.
- Save and copy the key.
Connect it
- In Assistant › Info (or the setup chat), pick the PrestaShop card.
- Paste the shop address (
https://…) and the Webservice key. - Click Check permissions: “All good ✓”, or the list of missing GET permissions.
- Click Test and import. You see “N products imported ✓” and What I read: product text language, VAT (tax-included prices as your customers see them), skipped products.
“VAT is uncertain”? Check the prices shown before turning the assistant on.
Then
- Resync reads prices, sizes, stock and promos again. Your catalog does not change if a sync fails.
- Orders taken by the assistant are not sent to PrestaShop: the key is read-only.
- If a Shopify or WooCommerce store is connected, disconnect it first: one source at a time.
Common problems
- The Webservice is disabled: step 2.
- “Key refused” although it is right: some hosts block the Authorization header. Ask them to let it through for
/api. - The address does not answer like the PrestaShop API: check the Webservice is on and URL rewriting is enabled.
