Connect your Shopify store

Your Shopify store becomes the source of truth: the assistant reads your products, prices and stock, and can send its orders back to Shopify if you turn that on.

Where to find it

In the setup chat, at “Where are your products?”, or later in Assistant › Info, step Connect your store. Pick the Shopify card.

Your store must be in Tunisian dinars (TND). Otherwise the app says your Shopify store is not in Tunisian dinars.

Method 1: one-click connection

  1. Type your Shopify store address, the one ending in .myshopify.com (Shopify › Settings › Domains).
  2. Click Connect Shopify. You see “Redirecting to Shopify…”.
  3. In Shopify, check the requested permissions and install the JAWEBNI app.
  4. You are back in JAWEBNI: “Shopify connected ✓”, then “N products synced ✓”.

If the app says one-click connection is not enabled on JAWEBNI yet, use method 2: the result is the same.

Method 2: access token (no app)

  1. In your Shopify admin: Settings › Apps and sales channels › Develop apps.
  2. Click Create an app and name it JAWEBNI.
  3. Configuration › Configure Admin API: tick exactly read_products, read_inventory, read_locations, read_orders, write_orders.
  4. Save, then click Install app.
  5. API credentials tab: “Reveal token once” and copy it (it starts with shpat_). Also copy the API secret key.
  6. In JAWEBNI, Shopify card, No app: access token block: paste the .myshopify.com address, the token and (optional) the secret key, then Test and connect.

Without the secret key, stock updates at each sync instead of instantly.

After connecting

  • Resync reads the whole catalog again; “Last sync” tells you when. “Live updates on” means changes arrive on their own.
  • Stock counted at: pick a Shopify location, or “All locations”.
  • Send orders to Shopify: off until you turn it on. Then every order taken by the assistant (or confirmed by you) is also created in Shopify, cash on delivery. The sending status shows in the order drawer (“Online store”).
  • Disconnect: products already imported stay, but stock stops updating and orders are no longer sent.

Common problems

  • Shopify refuses the token: check it starts with shpat_ and the app was not deleted.
  • Missing permissions: add the permissions from step 3, reinstall, then reconnect.
  • Already connected to another JAWEBNI account: a store can be linked to one account only.

One catalog source at a time: while Shopify is connected, Google Sheet, Excel or PrestaShop imports are refused. See where your products come from.
